Is this a brown anole, or just a brown phase of the green anole? Brown anoles (Anolis sagrei) are supposed to be spreading north into Georgia from Florida.

Yep...Those invasive Brown Anoles are in GA. Heck they are in many places where their eggs have been transported in flower pots from Fl.

I hoped to find some anoles in Lassiter Swamp yesterday but didn't see any. Maybe they are more active when temperatures are below 80 F? It's also possible that I was looking in the wrong area as the swamp is near the northernmost limit of their range.
